In the space of a 15 min phone call this avo my phone dropped from around 60 to 7% charge. A similar thing happened before but i put it down to a one off with it being a new phone etc. So i just phoned O and after a lot of faffing around and asking me whether i've been playing games on it?!they told me that 6 base stations were down in my area (hmmm, ) so my phone was having to use more power to try communicate (i have 4 bars signal).
I told him that blatantly wasn't the problem and after 15mins he diagnosed my battery as faulty, well thanks a lot (!). I now have to go to the shop where i got it to get a replacement. All this hassle and i have orange care?!
Right, i am not a happy bunny!!!!
Just went to the shop and they tell me i need to bring the whole box and reciept etc down. Why the hell did the geordie fool at 150 not tell me this. So i ring 150 again whilst in town and i'm on hold so long that my battery dies!!
Someone remind what i am paying orange care for again?!
Ok just made a 4th call to them now. Everytime i talk to them i get increasingly frustrated as they try fob me off with some feeble excuse. I'm now getting the whole 'internal policy' rubbish about the store needing my phone and all the other kit and thats down to individual stores, not to mention the 'remote diagnostic', honestly!!! It's utter crap it really is! Because i've had my phone less that 14 days it's down to the dealership to replace it so i can't get one posted to me?!
The guy at 150 said they'd check the battery in store?! What? In store they said they'd replace the whole lot! Do these people not know what the others do?
I have orange care and really don't expect this nutse. I went out of my way to take the phone back and got sod all for my effort.
Can anyone suggest the next route cos i really can't be arsed and dont see why i should have to get a replacement handset when all that's fooked is the battery. I remember reading somewhere about someone suggesting to ring motorola?
Thanks in advance,
(a rather brassed off) Mike

Thanks for the post Mike.
Sounds like my brother's not the only one being fobbed off with OCS.
I think you've got to at least write to their complaints department. I know it's not what you want to be doing but these guys just play on it nowadays. They reckon that hardly anyone can be bothered to write in and complain cause all you'll probably get back is a standard letter of apology.
It's about time these companies were monitored by an independant body to protect us customers. After all if it wasn't for us buying their products, they wouldn't be in the job in the first place.
I'm still no further forward with logging into my online account. I was supposed to get a call back last week. But I'm d**n sure I'm not paying 50p a minute.
If anyone else has any ideas of what the best way to complain is, let us know !!
